Vigil: Internal
2002, 2:37, SD video

In Vigil: Internal, a hooded figure sits with a video of a subway surveillance closed circuit television monitor superimposed on her face.  The figure also seems to be behind a screen of some sort.  The dichotomy of watching versus being watched, along with feelings of heightened observation, paranoia, and anxiety, are addressed in this personal video about living in lower Manhattan in a post September 11th world.
