“Mating Call” is the first piece of electronic music recorded by Panzarino and her artistic collaborator, Laura Payeur. The song appears on their debut album, Sounds of Laura Payeur + Monica Panzarino. This video juxtaposes the title, Mating Call, with the pimples, facial hair, and other unflattering attributes that are revealed through the camera’s macro lens. These are not features that one would typically want to highlight when attempting to attract a mate.
