Laura's Song
2003, 5:40, SD video
Laura’s Song explores Panzarino’s feelings of grief after the untimely death of her friend and artistic collaborator, Laura Payeur, who was killed in a car accident at the age of 24. In this video, Panzarino uses a piece of electronic music she made with Payeur titled “Laura’s Song”, which appears on their sophomore album, demo liberation n*stuff. Through the use of a Dave Jones Frame Buffer, the audio is visually represented in the image, as the camera’s macro lens traverses Panzarino’s neck and face. Her heartbeat is revealed, as are expressions of shock and sorrow.
